Remote USB 3 over IP
The manufacturer makes 3-port, 6-port, 9-port, 12-port (and a 6-port version with two of them being USB-C) I have a 6 port version and a 3 port version.

These units do NOT have an ethernet port on them. Rather, they work with software and these will plug-in (to the server side) as a USB 3 hub.

This saves an incredible amount of cost over high-end units that have the USB server built in (with an ethernet port). I have mine plugged into a low-end single-board computer running Ubuntu 22. It has been up and running for a year with no down-time. The software runs on either Linux or Windows. The Server side can let you choose which ports to share and specify a password to connect. The remote side can be configured to automatically connect and is made to emulate a local USB port.

This is most useful when you have virtualized servers that need specific USB 3 devices plugged in. Each individual port can be specifically "shared" so that a remote computer can connect to it.

Some units specify that you need to provide your own Power Adapter, but this 3-port unit came with the power adapter included.

There is no guarantee that this will correctly with all software. For example I found that some of the APC UPS software does not recognize the AnyPlace driver (to monitor a UPS). However, I found some third-party software that works (to monitor my UPS) so my problem was solved.
