Single USB to USB Port Isolator

Medical and Industrial Application USB to USB Single Port Isolator up to High Speed 480Mbps. USB isolator is USB bus powered and can provide 5V 320mA to your USB device with built-in isolated DC to DC converter. This is possible when the isolator is connected to a high power USB host port. A power supply is available and sold separately for this Isolator.

USB Isolator protects your PC or Laptop while connecting USB peripherals which is wired to high voltages. This small, industrial - grade isolator is very easy for use and provides a high-voltage barrier for protection against surges, noise and ground loop errors. It is suitable for use in sensitive applications like automotive measurements.

The isolation protects equipment from electrical over-voltages and transient voltage spikes. By eliminates ground loop currents flowing between the PC and USB device which can cause damage and inaccurate measurements. Additionally, isolation minimizes conducted noise from static discharge, magnetic fields and radio frequency interference.

Works well enough
It doesn't completely block out the static/hum since I can still hear it if I turn my amplifier way up, but it works well enough since listening at those volumes is harmful anyway. The first one I received was open and didn't work despite ordering new, I ordered a 2nd one and that one worked.

Got rid of my coil whine.
As the title states, I have been liquid cooling my graphics cards for years and they all have one thing in common, coil whine. Some of the cards have been worse than others, looking at you 1060 but all have been bad. I recently got a EVGA 2080 TI and no I am not bragging. With the regular heatsink the coil whine was noticeable but not as bad as the 1060. Once I put the water block on it though, it was worse somehow. I have tried running a Schitt Asgard DAC thinking since the sound card is not in the case it will get rid of it and it didn't. I pretty much gave up on getting rid of it until I watched a video from PSaudio that was made last week. He stated to get rid of ground loop use a USB isolator now obviously, that's not my problem but I figured I would give it a shot. I am glad I did it completely got rid of the coil whine on my speakers that are connected to my DAC. I hope this helps someone it took me a really long time to find something that actually worked. Don't be cheap and buy the 10 dollar one I don't know if it will work you could always give it a try or get the one that actually does work.

Much better than Foundation Engineering USB Data and Power Isolator (FEN-0003)
This item took out more noise than the Foundation Engineering USB Data and Power Isolator (FEN-0003) and in addition doesn’t rattle.

Works, But Not 100% Effective
I was getting some USB noise/ground loop through my Dell laptop after having a few audio devices plugged in. I narrowed it down to one unit in particular (Line 6 HX Stomp) when I was running the laptop off of AC power. All units are plugged into the same outlet. I used this isolator on another piece of gear (Fractal FM3) which helped, but did not remove 100% of the noise. Couldn't use the isolator with the Line 6 unit because it will not allow the software editor to see the HX Stomp.

Eliminated the noise
I'm using this with a Korg SQ-1 connected to my DAW. The problem was that the SQ-1, connected to the DAW via USB for midi clock in, was generating noise in the sync out cable which was being picked up by the analog instrument destination. I found a similar device on a youtube video for somebody else having the same problem, so I gave this one a try as it was the closest to the specs that guy had. It's all working as expected. Noise is gone and I'm happy.

Doesn't work with GPIB-usb-hs
Tried to use this to isolate some equipment. Two issues - not fast enough and perhaps not enough current for my application. Probably a decent device if you need something on the slower side. Just be sure of your speed and current requirments meet what the device is specified for. Expensive for what it is in my opinion.

Great product! Definitely worth it
Great Product! I did some research to make sure which products like this work and don't work and I am very happy with my purchase. I produce electronic music and have a home studio set up that I am currently adding analog synthesizers and equipment to. I just recently added a korg minilogue xd to my setup and had this horrible ground loop type of buzzing when trying to record with it. Immediately this product cleaned up the signal and now I can produce stress free. Highly recommend to anyone with a similar issue.

Doesn't work with USB audio interface
This adapter changes the way the device appears to the computer. Without it, it the device appears just fine in the Device manager. With the adapter plugged in, the device appears to the computer as 'unrecognized'. I tested this with two different USB audio interfaces. Review by Griz / (Posted on 6/29/2020)
Fixed grounding loop
Wasn't using this for audio but fixed my grounding loop issues for my stepper motors and arduino while still providing COM port.
