- I'm using a laptop with Windows 8.1 on it and using it to control an RS-232 controlled receiver. Upon turn on I can command the radio immediately, however, I have to pull up the original control program and reset everything to get data from the receiver to go back to my laptop (confirmation data, S-meter data, etc.,)
