Good for general use and most people.
The extension cable is as shown. It appears to be of good quality and works fine (with one caveat). I would recommend it for general use and most purposes.
From experience: Have care when using it with a high power peripheral. USB ports supply limited power and some of the power is used by the active element in the cable. In my case, a cell-modem, the modem wanted so much power that the USB connection had occasional issues.
