If you are looking for a USB to RS-232 adapter with some extra diagnostic capabilities, then this is an excellent choice. I have been using it to connect my iMac to a PDP-11/83 and the LEDs on the RS-232 side have been very helpful. The USB side works perfectly with OSX or Ubuntu running under VMware on the iMac as well. Great Product!
